This opening will mark the resurgence of luxury nightlife experiences in New York with dynamic food and beverage venues and programming that will make Faena the ultimate destination for the sophisticated traveler to New York.Job DescriptionThe Steward is responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and organization, supporting the back-of-house team in a fast-paced luxury dining environment.This is a full-time position with an hourly compensation rate of $29.00 an hour.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWash, sanitize, and store dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dish station.Assist chefs with basic prep tasks, including ingredient cleaning and storage.Monitor and restock clean service ware for seamless kitchen operations.Ensure compliance with health and safety sanitation protocols.QualificationsPrevious experience in kitchen sanitation or stewarding preferred.Understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.SKILLSStrong physical endurance and ability to work in a high-paced environment.Attention to detail in kitchen hygiene and equipment handling.Ability to multitask and support multiple kitchen stations as needed.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTEndure various physical movements throughout the work areasAbility to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spacesRemain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift or prolonged standing for a periodMedium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Additional Information
