Jane Iredale makeup and skincare is offered through medical offices, fine spas and salons, destination resorts, and professionals in more than 50 countries globally.The Business Development Manager is responsible for executing and achieving the sales, marketing, education and other company plans within an assigned territory to achieve sales and market development objectives as established each year by the company.The successful candidate can be located in Denver, Colorado or Phoenix, Arizona Essential Accountabilities and Responsibilities:The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business for the region within the established geographic boundaries. Manages inbound leads and effectively qualifies and converts to new partners. Generates leads by effective networking and prospecting throughout the assigned geographic area.Responsible for onboarding all new accounts including facilitating appropriate merchandising, and product training as well as retail sell through strategies. Manages new accounts for the first 6 months and positions them for success through strategic account visits (where appropriate) Zoom / Teams meetings, telephone calls, webinars and training events. Works closely with the Director of Field Sales (DFS) to develop annual sales strategies and business plans for the assigned territory. Conducts a minimum of four account and lead meetings per day, either in person or virtually, as well as all planning and follow-up needed to ensure a successful outcome. Participates in and supports all sales, marketing and educational programs and objectives set forth by IC (e.g., sales campaigns, new product launches, promotions, educational classes, trade shows, state board visits, regional meetings, National Sales Meetings, etc.).Provides regular, timely and meaningful market feedback and reports to DFS on sales activities, account visits, current business conditions, trends and competitive information.Documents all account activity in Salesforce.com. including the timely scheduling of meetings, and all notes from partner interactions. Education and Experience:High school degree required. AA or BA degree preferred.Minimum of two years outside sales experience required, preferably in the beauty industry or consumer goods.Proven track record of successful new business development is required. Experience with servicing salons, spas, physicians’ offices, retail merchants and small businesses is preferred.Licensed esthetician/makeup artist is a plus.Other Skills and Competencies:Excellent written communication skills.Strong oral presentation skills via virtual meeting and phone.Confident engaging with business owners and managers regarding sales data, and comfortable asking for an order.Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Skilled in the use of Salesforce.com or similar CRM Database.Home Office setup is required.The position reports to the Director of Field Sales and requires up to 35% overnight travel.Iredale Cosmetics offers excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability and 401K.The salary for this position is $70,00,000 per year, plus commissions. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, and qualifications.
