Quality Administrator
The Quality Administrator is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with API Q2 specification. This role is critical in supporting business development activities and ensuring the highest quality work standards within the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality plans and procedures specific to Managed Pressured Drilling services.
Monitor and enforce compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain Approved Vendors List.
Maintain documentation of quality assurance activities and outcomes.
Maintain strong document control practices.
Prepare and deliver regular reports on Quality performance metrics.
Manage NCR/CAR system as well conduct Root Cause Analysis with Management.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
Develop and implement quality procedure in accordance with API Q2 specification.
Train staff on quality procedures and ensure adherence across all departments.
Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in MPD drilling.
Required Qualifications
Post Secondary Degree , Quality Management certification, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in the coordination of a QMS.
Proven experience in quality assurance within the upstream oil and gas industry.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience in Vendor/Supplier management in quality assurance.
Strong organizational and document control skills
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality improvement.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Valid passport or ability to obtain.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in quality management auditing (ISO 9001/API Q2).
Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based in our operations shop, with travel to other company offices/shops.
Physical requirements
Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking.
Occasional driving and travel.
