CondoitDenver, COL6 LeadAugust 15th, 2026
Location: Indianapolis, IN or Charlotte, NC (on-site with key customer). Open to candidates willing to relocate or spend significant time on-site.Type: Full-timeCompensation: Competitive compensation + milestone-based bonusesAbout CondoitCondoit is the system of record for electrical distribution infrastructure. Our software platform creates efficiency and customer loyalty for electrical contractors, clarity and simplicity for electricians, and safe and reliable electrical systems for facility managers and property owners.About the RoleThis is a forward-deployed engineering role embedded with one of the largest electrical contractors in the country. You will sit where the work actually happens – alongside the engineers, estimators, and field crews using our platform – and build the software that makes their work dramatically faster. This is not a ticket-queue job. You will find the friction yourself by watching real work, then design, build, and ship the thing that removes it, often inside the same week. Some of what you build will be integrations and data pipelines specific to this customer. Some will become core product. You will have unusual latitude to decide which. We are looking for an engineer who is energized rather than unsettled by messy real-world data, who can hold a conversation with an electrician and a database in the same hour, and who ships. What you’ll doBuild in the fieldEmbed with the customer, observe real workflows, and translate what you see directly into working softwareOwn features end-to-end: spec, build, ship, validate in the field, iterateBuild data ingestion and transformation pipelines that turn legacy materials – PDFs, scanned drawings, spreadsheets, tribal knowledge – into structured, trustworthy asset dataEngineer for real conditionsDesign for offline-first, low-connectivity, and field-hostile conditions; assume dirty inputs and imperfect captureBuild AI/ML-assisted workflows (OCR, extraction, classification, agentic tooling) and – critically – the validation layers that make their output safe to rely onWrite the automated checks that keep correctness from regressing as the system growsClose the loopTurn one-off customer solutions into durable product where the pattern generalizesPartner with the forward-deployed PM on requirements, acceptance criteria, and rolloutInstrument what you ship and use adoption and error data to decide what to build nextQualifications5+ years building and shipping production softwareStrong full-stack capability: TypeScript/JavaScript and React or React Native, a backend language, and SQLComfortable owning a feature from ambiguous problem statement to deployed, adopted software with no one specifying it for youExperience with data pipelines, integrations, or document/data ingestion at real-world messinessExcellent communication with non-engineers; you can sit with a foreman and leave with a specHigh tolerance for ambiguity, and a bias toward shipping and iterating over waiting for certaintyPreferredElectrical background or adjacent experience (single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, equipment naming conventions, arc flash and NEC context)OCR / ML-assisted extraction, computer vision, or LLM-agent tooling in productionMobile development, especially offline-first syncExperience as an early engineer at a startup, or in a forward-deployed / solutions-engineering roleComfort working on-site with customersExperience with developing or running software quality programsApplyEmail your resume or LinkedIn URL to apply@condoit.io with subject: DEV – Indianapolis (or DEV – Charlotte).
