Together, we are not just sailing; we are charting a course to push boundaries of what's possible.As a CNC Machinist at Maritime Applied Physics Corporation, you will be integral to our manufacturing process, utilizing advanced CNC machinery to create precision components. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions across various sectors.Salary Range: $30-$35 an hourPrimary ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work ordersPlans details of working procedure, programs and tooling requirements. Set up and operate fabrication equipment with proper tooling (CNC press brake, shear, plasma tables, Bridgeports etc.) Interpret technical drawings, nesting layouts, and cutting programs Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.Job Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesAbility to operate CNC press brakes (HACO) and CNC Plasma tablesKnowledge of material forming fundamentals, die selection and measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers, squares, etc.)Must be able to read, follow and understand blueprints, methods, procedural instructions and interpret visual aidsMust be able to perform basic mathProficiency in operating CNC press brakes, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines.Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes and sheet metal fabrication techniques.Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precise manufacturing tolerances.RequirementsMinimum Requirements:2 years experience in a sheet metal fabrication operation2 years of experience with CNC programsAbility to accurately and efficiently complete all required tasks and documentationMust be able to function well in a fast-paced work environment and deal with a variety of work situationsAbility to communicate effectively with co-workersFollow safety and housekeeping guidelinesMust be a US Citizen
