Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.Job Summary:The University Institutional Research Sr. Data Analyst manages data for Rush University, ensuring accuracy, completeness, integrity, and compliance with internal and external reporting. Primary duties of the University Research Sr. Data Analyst include data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting to department's administrative team, supporting strategic planning and accreditation. The analyst will also collaborate with and/or support, as needed, with Rush's Digital & Information System (D & IS) team as well as Institutional Research upper management.The University Institutional Research Sr. Data Analyst will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Required Job Qualifications:Master's degree in statistics, data analytics, or related field3-5 years' experience working with relational databases and structured query languages (i.e., SQL)Understanding of concepts in research/survey methodology, data collection, and analyses.Excellent communication and presentation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze complete data and communicate issues, findings, and recommendationsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and projects of varying degrees of complexity.Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentAdvanced ability to create summary reports using statistical tools, charts, and graphs.Preferred Job Qualifications:Experience creating dashboards in Microsoft PowerBIPrevious experience working in Institutional Research, Decision Support, or Faculty Affairs.Work experience in a large academic center system or similar environmentJob Responsibilities:Collaborate with colleges/departments to identify information needsCollect, analyze, interpret, and report data and information for decision supportAudit data and resolve discrepancies using standard procedures to ensure data is complete, accurate, and up to dateMaintain and update policies and procedures documenting current processesTroubleshoot/resolve data issues related to tasksPerform first-line testing of new tools and repairs before changes go liveAnalyze data and prepare reports for accrediting agencies and leadershipPrepare reports and analyze data for departments and colleges as requestedAssist university with data collection methods and reportingSupports activity tracking and performance metricsCollaborate on strategic planning and accreditation-related initiativesRush is an equal opportunity employer.
