Engineering Test Technician – Server Hardware
Job SummarySeeking an Engineering Test Technician with 5+ years of relevant hardware and lab experience to support server PC building, testing, debugging, validation, and laboratory operations. The role requires strong knowledge of PC architecture, motherboard platforms, CPUs, GPUs, SoCs, memory, storage, BIOS, drivers, and operating systems. The technician will perform hardware and software troubleshooting, configure lab equipment, support server cooling systems, and maintain hardware lab setups. Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and attention-to-detail skills are required.ResponsibilitiesBuild, test, debug, and maintain server PCs and hardware platforms.Perform component-level hardware and software debugging.Troubleshoot PC and server systems using Windows and Linux commands.Configure and debug server cooling and thermal systems.Set up and maintain machines using GPUs, CPUs, and SoCs.Operate oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, thermal solutions, debugger systems, and data acquisition systems.Support hardware testing, validation, system integration, and troubleshooting activities.Maintain hardware lab setups and resolve hardware/software issues.Follow detailed testing procedures and protocols.Perform test data entry, analysis, and result maintenance.Coordinate with engineering teams and communicate technical information effectively.Required Qualifications5+ years of relevant hardware test, lab, or debugging experience.Strong knowledge of PC architecture and hardware/software interaction.In-depth knowledge of motherboards, SoCs, GPUs, CPUs, memory, and storage.Hands-on server hardware debugging experience.Experience with BIOS, drivers, and operating systems.Experience with Windows and Linux troubleshooting and commands.Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.Experience with server cooling system setup and debugging.Experience managing hardware lab setups and software/hardware issues.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Work RequirementsOnsite position in Santa Clara, California.5+ years of relevant industry experience required.B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or related field preferred.Hands-on hardware laboratory and debugging experience required.Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants.
