This role combines strong database administration expertise with modern data engineering capabilities, focusing on performance, scalability and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, monitor and maintain SQL Server databasesPerform performance tuning, query optimization and troubleshootingManage backups, restores and high availability (HA/DR) solutionsEnsure database security, integrity and complianceDevelop and manage data pipelines using DatabricksWork with large-scale data processing using Spark (PySpark/Scala)Support ETL/ELT workflows and data transformationsOptimize data processing for performance and scalabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support data platform initiativesRequired Skills6+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBAStrong expertise in SQL performance tuning and database optimizationHands-on experience with DatabricksExperience with Spark (PySpark/Scala)Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipelinesExposure to AWS or Azure cloud environmentsNice to HaveExperience with Delta Lake or data lake architectureFamiliarity with CI/CD or DevOps toolsBanking/financial domain experienceKey TraitsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentEffective communication and collaboration
