Sales Manager (CPG)
The CPG Sales Manager will work closely with the SVP of Sales to support the 2026 launch of an upcoming Marcus Samuelsson CPG business. This role focuses on retailer-facing execution and new item launches, with additional support across early foodservice activity. The Sales Manager will work cross-functionally to help ensure products are set up correctly, launches stay on track, and customers have the tools needed to succeed in market.Retail New Item Submissions & SetupOwn retailer and product new item submissions across key accounts, including item forms, specs, nutritional information, packaging approvals, cost and margin sheets, and required sales materialsManage retailer submission portals and track timelines for authorizations, set dates, resets, and category review cyclesCoordinate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure all customer requirements are met on timeRetail Sales Execution & Promotional SupportWork with Marketing to support retailer-facing promotional materials, including sell-in decks, launch programs, in-store activation, and buyer presentationsHelp manage promotional calendars, feature opportunities, and trial-driving programsSupport broker execution and ensure compliance with retailer requirementsFoodservice Sales SupportSupport early foodservice sales activity in partnership with the SVP of Sales, including distributor coordination and operator setupAssist with foodservice item setup, specs, pack formats, pricing, and compliance requirementsSupport pilot programs, limited launches, and menu placements as the channel developsDemand & Launch CoordinationPartner with Sales and Finance to share customer authorizations, promotional plans, and distribution changes to support demand planningCoordinate with co-manufacturers and operations teams to help align production with approved demandFlag timing, inventory, or execution risks as they ariseCommercialization SupportSupport commercialization of initial SKUs for the 2026 launch and future line extensionsAssist in tracking timelines, MOQs, costs, and inventory considerations across retail and foodservice formatsRequirements5+ years of experience in CPG sales and/or operations, preferably in food & beverageExperience working with natural and specialty retailers; exposure to conventional grocery or mass is a plusHands-on experience supporting retailer new item submissions and setup processesFamiliarity with broker, distributor, and foodservice sales modelsComfortable working in an early-stage, fast-moving environmentCompensation: $75,000-$85,000 for FT *Similar hourly rate for fractionalWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and treat all applicants for employment equally based upon job-related qualifications and without regard to race, sex, color, age, sexual orientation, gender identification, marital status, military or veteran status, national origin, disability, religion, political activity, or any other characteristic protected by law.Disclaimer: This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the Employer.
