PT-Golf Pro Shop Clerk
Rolling Meadows Golf Course Pro Shop Clerk Performs a variety work in the maintenance and operation of a golf course Pro Shop and associated facilities. Responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department. Works under the general guidance and direction of the Golf Clubhouse Manager. Operates the Golf Course Pro Shop including merchandising stock, sales, equipment rental, operating concessions stands, cash receipt, and cash register operation. Assists in carrying out golf course policies, informing patrons of procedures, and enforcing course rules including scheduling tee-times, organizing player teams, tournament activity coordination, and general course play to insure optimum use of the course and associated facilities. Accepts requests, complaints, and suggestions regarding golf course operations, Pro Shop services, conduct of patrons and initiates corrective action within his/her means and notifies his/her supervisor in all cases. Follows daily work schedules and completes assigned tasks. Inspects equipment and insures it is in properly maintained and kept in proper working condition. Works a variety of hours and weekends based on a flexible course operation schedule. Completes a variety of light facility and equipment maintenance tasks to include cleaning the Pro Shop, carts, rental equipment, snack bar area, and stocking food and beverages. Follows and enforces all safety regulations. Works willingly and harmoniously with other employees and volunteers. Completes all other duties as assigned. Possesses a valid state driver's license or is able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Must be at least 21 years of age. Knowledge of use of phone, personal computer including word processing, cash register, calculator, mobile or portable radio, motor vehicle. Graduation from high school or GED equivalent Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision; communicate effectively orally and in writing; count cash and make change, establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, patrons, and the public.
