Warehouse operator

*Job Summary* We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth warehouse operations, including inventory management, materials handling, and order fulfillment. Your expertise in operating heavy equipment and warehouse management systems will be vital to maintaining efficiency and safety across all activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution environment where safety, accuracy, and teamwork are paramount. *Duties* * Operate various warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, move, and organize inventory safely and efficiently. * Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, data entry into inventory management software, and maintaining real-time records using RF scanners and warehouse management systems. * Assist with shipping and receiving processes by preparing shipments, verifying orders with packing lists, and ensuring proper documentation using AS400 or similar systems. * Conduct manual handling of materials with adherence to safety regulations such as OSHA standards; perform heavy lifting as needed while utilizing proper PPE. * Support stock replenishment activities by stocking shelves accurately and efficiently while following safety protocols. * Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety procedures and OSHA regulations; perform routine safety checks on equipment like pallet jacks and material handling tools. * Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes, improve logistics workflows, and ensure timely order fulfillment. *Qualifications* * Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including cherry pickers), cranes, order pickers, and pallet jacks. * Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, inventory management, materials handling, and logistics. * Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms. * Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while following safety regulations; experience with PPE use is essential. * Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory levels. * Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is preferred but not required; a good team player with excellent communication skills. * Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and protocols for safe warehouse operation is highly desirable.
