Northern New Jersey Process Engineer

Job DescriptionPROCESS is currently seeking one or more individual(s) for the following positions - Process Design Engineer/Plant Project Engineer. This is a long-term contract position. Ideally PROCESS seeks to hire a single engineer who has the capabilities and flexibility to function well in both roles, however, PROCESS will consider candidates who have strengths in only one role.Duties when acting as a Process Design Engineer will include executing process design and process engineering projects across a variety of industrial market segments. Design assignments are across the U.S. region but mostly in Upstate New Jersey and will require on-site plant work. Typical assignments may include FEL-1 and 2 process designs, process alternative evaluations, process troubleshooting, relief device sizing, etc.Duties when acting as a Plant Project Engineer will include performing project engineering functions on multiple capital projects within a plant operations setting. This involves coordinating overall engineering efforts with the client, vendors, and contractors from project conception to installation. Additional responsibilities would involve providing project management coordination as needed to other engineers in the PROCESS office for detailed process engineering needs.LOCATIONThe position is for an assignment in support of our PA office with a long-term plant assignment in Northern New Jersey. Candidate should be within driving distance or be willing to stay overnight during the week. Some travel compensation can be provided.Job RequirementsB.S. or MS in chemical engineering from an accredited universityExperience with small to mid-size capital projects management from evaluation through implementation10+ years of combined plant operations, process design and/or project management experience. Ideal experience includes some process simulation and a variety and diverse mix of chemicals manufacturing environments (batch and continuous).
