Staff Accountant

Job Title: Staff Accountant Location: NE Portland, OR Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Fully Onsite Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 a year We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to support our client’s team in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing compliance with accounting standards, and driving financial insights. This is a direct hire role ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a proactive approach to process improvement and reporting accuracy. Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance Perform and review complex account reconciliations Lead month-end and year-end closing activities Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls Requirements Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, including staff-level responsibility Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and leadership abilities Benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
