School-Based Optometrist ODNow Hiring: School-Based Optometrist to provide on-site vision services within school-based health centers. We offer a collaborative environment with excellent benefits, wage/salary commensurate with experience and relevant work experience.Job Functions/Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive eye exams for studentsDiagnose and manage common pediatric vision conditionsCollaborate with school-based health and nursing staffProvide referrals and care coordination as neededCounsel patients on proper eye care practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and the use of corrective lenses.Educate patients on the prevention of eye diseases and the importance of regular eye exams.Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and prescriptions.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists, to provide coordinated patient care.Stay current with the latest advancements in optometry and ophthalmology through continuing education and professional development.Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to the practice of optometry.Contribute to the overall success of Cumberland Family Medical Center by providing excellent patient care and promoting a positive work environment.
