Quality Engineer
Overview:
Industry: Aerospace/Defense
Location: Everett, WA
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Frequency: 40 hours per week
Compensation: $35/hr
Job Description:
The quality engineer shall travell to the supplier facility to perform Aerospace Standard (AS9100) quality assurance tasks (RCCA, CIPA, Audits / Surveys etc.) on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies, processes and procedures.
Candidate must have proficient experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications.
The quality engineer will be required to report all feedback / information directly to the customer via web application.
Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the Aerospace Standard (AS9102) standard and knowledge is required.
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years experience performing supplier quality assurance in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Candidate should be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.
Skills Requirement:
Production (or Manufacturing) Quality Assurance/Control in Aerospace industry (or similar).
Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
Collaborate with production personnel and stakeholders.
Identify and drive root cause and corrective actions.
Execute on deliveries.
Attention to Detail.
Strong communication skills.
In process and Final Inspection.
Requirements:
3-5 years’ experience of Aerospace Quality requirements experience
Previous experience with AS9100 and AS9102 (ISO 9001 is desirable but not required)
Previous experience performing and/or evaluating First Article Inspections
Previous experience with blueprint reading
Previous experience in Root Cause analysis and Corrective Action/Preventative Action Development
Previous experience in auditing (any of these – ISO 9001, AS9100, Internal)
