(Remote)Gas Turbine Performance Engineer Location:Remote, REPosition Type:Direct HireJob Description A remote Gas Turbine Performance Engineer position is available at Belcan. This full-time role provides benefits and supports a customer NPI program as it matures. Experience with gas turbine performance test data and core operability is required.Job DutiesSupport compressor stability auditsAnalyze existing test data to develop sensitivities across the flight envelopeUse developed sensitivities to identify changes to the transient schedulesInform changes to Controls systems to improve compressor stability across the flight envelopeIncorporate schedule updates and support the finalization of stability auditsManage and maintain projects in priority status as assigned by program management.Maintain, report, and communicate project status and progress to both internal program management team and customer.Monitor and report progress against project schedule by monitoring activities and resolving problems to ensure that customer project milestones are met.Organize and maintain existing engineering records.Perform other such duties as required.RequiredDUE TO THE NATURE OF THE WORK PERFORMED, US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field.10+ years of engineering experience.Must be able to communicate well and effectively work with a team of engineers to successful project outcomes.Must be able to write technical reports and correspondence including customer reports.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.PreferredAerospace experience is preferred.Familiarity with NPI/test programs.Experience collaborating with Mechanical Design, Controls, software, fluids, and program management stakeholders.In Indianapolis, or proximity to Indianapolis, is preferred.Compensation We provide a competitive pay and benefits package.
