Mechanic

Job Description JOB FUNCTION:This will be entry-level position for a person with good basic mechanical skills. Must be capable of learning and developing the necessary skills to perform the job adequately.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1 . Performs PM Inspections.2 . Performs Post Trip Inspections.3 . General repairs such as clutch and brake adjustments, lights and electrical repairs and tire placement with supervision.4 . May be required to work temporarily at field locations maintaining/repairing equipment, under mentorship5 . Performs other duties as directed.QUALIFICATIONS:1 . High school education acceptable.2 . Specific exposure to an equipment or maintenance environment.3 . Knowledge of basic hand tools for general equipment repair.4 . Equipment systems experience a plus.5 . Must have effective oral and written communications effective listening skills, and ability to interact with others.6 . 0-3 years of diesel shop experience acceptable.
