The Sales Engineer partners with Sales Executives to accelerate complex, value-driven sales cycles by translating customer business challenges into compelling Esker solutions. This role is critical in positioning Esker as a strategic transformation partner for enterprise and global accounts.Key Tasks/DutiesEnterprise Sales PartnershipServe as a trusted advisor to Business Development Managers at all levels, beginning with discovery phase through closeParticipate in account strategy, deal shaping, and executive-level conversations to influence buying decisionsSupport global and multi-entity sales opportunities, including coordination with subject matter expertsValue-Based Solution DesignTranslate customer pain points into clear, outcome-driven solutions tied to efficiency, cost reduction, compliance, and scalabilityDevelop and present tailored demos aligned to prospect workflows, KPIs, and maturity levelHelp differentiate Esker's capabilities, specifically focusing on AI-driven automation throughout the Office of the CFO platform, with a special expertise on Esker's S2P solutionsTechnical & Business ValidationLead technical discovery, solution fit assessments, and high-level architecture discussionsAddress enterprise concerns related to ERP integration (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), security, data privacy, and scalabilitySupport RFP/RFI responses with accurate, value-oriented, and consistent messagingDeal Acceleration & Risk ReductionIdentify technical or operational risks early and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve themSupport proof-of-concept discussions, pilots, and validation workshopsContribute to increased predictability in sales cycles and higher-quality pipelineEssential ExperienceProven experience in Sales Engineering, Presales, or Solutions Consulting supporting enterprise customers in complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cyclesStrong understanding of business process automation, financial operations (S2P, O2C), ERP ecosystems, and enterprise SaaS integrationsAbility to distill complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, executive level value storiesConfidence leading customer‑facing discussions with IT, Finance, and Operations leaders, including technical discovery and solution validationConsultative, value‑driven mindset focused on measurable outcomes, ROI, and long‑term partnershipProven track record of co‑selling with Enterprise Account Executives to advance, shape, and close strategic opportunitiesComfort operating in ambiguous, non‑scripted environments, adapting solutions to customer context and maturityStrong storytelling, presentation, and demo skills, able to influence both technical and executive stakeholdersWorking ConditionsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerTravelAbility to travel up to 25% of working hoursSalary Range: $95,000-135,000 + CommissionWe are currently not accepting applicants for this role from HI, AK, CA, MT, or DC.This posting will close on Tuesday, May 26th at 12 CT.Employee BenefitsStudent loan repayment assistanceFlexible work schedule, summer hours, and work from home optionsProfit sharing optionsPaid time off for community outreach and volunteer opportunitiesYearly stipend for employee wellness, hobbies, or educational activitiesDog-friendly work environmentCompetitive salary and benefits packageCome as You AreEsker is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to maintaining an inclusive and mutually respectful work environment.
