We’re seeking an Account Manager who will support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy.We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Commercial Account Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and client retention by delivering timely, consistent, high-quality service.This role supports a commercial book of business (minimum \$550K revenue) and partners closely with Producers, carrier partners, and internal service teams across the full renewal and service cycle.About Alera GroupAlera Group was founded in 2017 and has grown to become the 14th largest broker of U.S. business. ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do / Your ImpactRenewals & Carrier MarketingLead the renewal process by meeting with Producers, establishing renewal expectations with clients, and gathering underwriting information Complete renewal applications and prepare thorough submissions to carriers Review, analyze, and compare carrier quotations; negotiate coverage terms and pricing when appropriate Prepare professional proposals and summaries for client presentation, including premium/rate/exposure comparisons and allocations Policy Service, Endorsements & Client SupportReview endorsements for accuracy; order endorsements as needed to secure additional coverage and/or ensure compliance Prepare certificates of insurance (including templates) and help resolve complex certificate compliance issues Perform contract reviews related to insurance requirements and advise on compliance needs Process complex premium audits and assist clients in the event of disputes Prepare and deliver timely binders and invoices upon binding; secure premium financing when needed Review newly issued policies for accuracy prior to delivery Team Collaboration & Operational ExcellenceFollow up in a timely, professional manner with clients, carriers, Producers, and internal partners Use company systems and procedures to document work, prioritize workload, and maintain service standards Participate in monthly renewal meetings with Producers and Account Managers to align on strategy and timelines Maintain required training goals and support mentoring/training of Account Assistants as needed Perform other duties as assigned QualificationsWhat You BringRequired3+ years of insurance experience 1+ year at the Account Manager level (preferred) Applicable state Property & Casualty (P&C) Agent License Strong oral and written communication skills; solutions-oriented service mindset Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong technical coverage knowledge of commercial lines and ability to negotiate coverage terms and pricing Strong work ethic with timely follow-up, attention to detail, dependability, and ability to work both independently and within a team PreferredAgency Management System experience (AMS Sagitta, ImageRight, and Indio preferred) Industry-related certifications (expected) College degree preferred, or equivalent experience Core CompetenciesClient service and retention focus Attention to detail and quality control Ownership, follow-through, and timely responsiveness Collaborative, team-oriented approach Sound judgment and problem-solving Additional InformationCompensation -Salary range - $36.00 - $45.00 per hourBenefits -Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, 401(k), generous PTO, and more.Work Model -This role is Hybrid Professional Development – Alera Group AcademyAt Alera Group, growth isn’t left to chance.
