There are no limits to where you can take your career.Job SummaryPerform analysis, dirve continuous improvement projects, define methodology/standard work, manage and monitor performance in the area of logistics and material flow at site level. The role can conver the following (all or partially): Inbound/Recieving, internal material movements, warehousing, outbound/shipping, frieght/transport management, cycle counting, inventory management, transactional activities, and packing.Job ResponsibilitiesRecieving & Material HandlingMaintains a schedule of inbound and outbound production materialGreets truck and arranges for incoming material unload and storageRecieve and verify incoming raw material or products against invoices, PO's or other recordsNotify Quality when incoming materials is ready for inspectionExamine, unpakc and inspect incoming shipments, document and report for discrepanciesEnsure all recieved materials and documents meet qualilty standardsRoute received items to the appropriate departmentsSafely operate forklifts/power jacks to move materialsInventory & ERP ManagementEnsure ERP inventory accuracy through correct material placement, reconciliation and auditsAssist with maintaining documents related to incoming/outgoing shipmentsIssue work orders to the floor as requestedShipping & ScrapOrganize deliveries and outbound shipments of materialUpdate export compliance documents after shipments occurAssist in expediting subcontractor deliveriesManage scrap dealers, including pickups and tub deliveriesArrange delivery and return of tubs to/from vendorsReview and audit scrap tub manifests and tally sheets for accuracyAdministrative & Cross-Functional SupportPerform all recieving-related administrative duties promptlyMaintain organized filling systemsRepresent Recieving in production meetings to communicate material status and understand prioritiesCommunicate with other departments and provide warehouse information on requestTake owenship of assigned areas, keeping them clean and organizedLead and support projects within assigned areasAll other duties as assignedJob QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelors degree in Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent combination of advanced education and/or 4 years progressive logisitcs experienceMust be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirementsMust be US Person (Citizen or Green Card Holder) or have the ability to obtain the necessary Goverment licensing to work with controlled technology and productsAdditional QualificationsStrong writtern, verbal, and interpersonal communication; effective collaborateGKN and aerospace industry experienceProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP/MRP systemsDetail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorties/projects under pressureTakes initiative, solves problems, and exercises sound judgementSkilled in conflict resolution, project management, and cross-functional teamworkSelft-starter with strong decision-making abilities; flunt in EnglishPhysical RequirementsStanding and walking (At least 7hrs/day)Ability to carry and lift weight up to 50lbsBending, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling required (At least 2hrs/day)Use of hands for fine dexterity, light and strong grasping (At least 7hrs/day)We'll offer you fantastic challenges and amazing opportunities.
