Swoon is hiring for our corporate client in Chicago, IL and this will be a hybrid position.This will be a 5.5 month contract opportunity with Benefits - Health, Dental & Vision.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Proofreader to support a corporate intranet content renovation project. This role will review updated digital content before publication to ensure it is accurate, clear, consistent, accessible, and aligned with editorial and content governance standards.What You’ll Do:Review intranet content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, tone, formatting, and consistencyCheck links, metadata, tags, page elements, ownership fields, and outdated referencesPerform basic accessibility checks, including headings, link clarity, alt text, and scannabilityConfirm CMS updates align with approved content and feedbackDocument issues, defects, and recommended fixesPartner with content and operations teams to resolve issues before publicationSupport pre-publish and post-publish QA checksHelp maintain QA checklists, editorial standards, and repeatable review processesRequirements:Experience in proofreading, copy editing, digital content review, content QA, communications, or a related fieldStrong grammar, punctuation, tone, style, and plain-language writing skillsExperience reviewing web, intranet, knowledge base, or digital workplace contentComfort working in a CMS or digital publishing environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to document issues clearlyFamiliarity with accessibility principles, including WCAG 2.2 AAIf interested in more details, please apply!
