Overtime may be required based on customer needs and deadlines. (Occasional weekends)Job Summary: Responsible for security, maintenance and service of work facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of the organization and its employees. The following are the duties and responsibilities of the - either preformed directly and/ or via subordinates:Perform physical maintenance and operations of buildings, grounds, facilities and building systemsOversee and conduct periodic inspections to identify necessary repairsEnsure building, grounds, facilities and building systems are compliant with various agency regulationsCoordinate and supervision of contractors and external providers on assigned projectsAssist in essential services, i.e., security, maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal, recycling and any safety related issuesAssist in ensuring buildings meet the needs of the people working in them, including but not limited to security, cleaning, parking, and landscapingRespond to facility and equipment alerts and/or system failuresEngage outside vendors when necessary for repairs and/or services under the direction of the Maintenance ManagerComplete planned and preventative maintenance in a timely mannerAs required operate hand and power toolsParticipating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniquesSharing information, suggestions, and observations with project leadership to create consistency in safety standards throughout the production team and the entire companyComply with all Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) guidelinesMaintain safety regulation during installationsOversee disposal of substances according to environmental guidelinesEnsure statutes, regulations, and codes are clearly understood and metReport any acts or processes which are unsafe or do not comply with OHSA guidelinesMeeting production schedulesPerform other duties as assigned by managementRequired education and experience:High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 - 5 years of experience with Industrial facilities maintenance and safety.Must be able to speak, read, and write EnglishMust have knowledge of commercial pneumatic systemsElectrical experience including knowledge of 3 phase electric systems and 110/220/480 voltage ratings is requiredCommercial plumbing experience is a plusExperience with composite bonding equipment commonly used in the boating industry is a plus - chopper guns, spray gunsBasic mathematical skillsAdditional Skills, Physical Requirements, and Competencies:Knowledge of chemicals, their dangers, safety procedures, mixing procedures and time limitsAbility to work both independently and as a team memberPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include dust masks, gloves, safety glassesCan work in a hot and humid non-climate-controlled environmentAbility to work outsideFollow safety and health standards - use of protective equipment as requiredAbility to work 8+ hour day shifts (sitting, standing, bending and reaching) and moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.Understand and comply with health, safety and regulatory requirementsPerform other duties as assigned by managementBenefits: (Waiting period may apply)401(k)Health InsuranceEmployee assistance programDental/Vision insuranceLife insuranceShort Term/Long Term DisabilityPaid time offProfessional development assistanceWork Location: In personWe are a drug-free workplace and an equal opportunity employer.
