Job DescriptionSenior Electrical Project ManagerLocation: Chantilly, VAJob SummaryThe Senior Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of complex electrical construction projects. This role oversees project estimating, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, contract administration, change management, and resource allocation while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The position serves as the primary liaison between clients, general contractors, subcontractors, field leadership, and internal teams.Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Extensive knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, sequencing, and industry best practices.Experience with project estimating, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and contract administration.Ability to negotiate and manage change orders while maintaining strong client relationships.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and field personnel.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.Thorough understanding of construction safety regulations, quality standards, labor agreements, and project documentation.Ability to maintain confidentiality while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience managing large-scale electrical construction projects.Knowledge of commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical installations.Experience with project scheduling and construction management software.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the successful delivery of electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, budget, and schedule.Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, monthly forecasts, labor projections, and financial reporting.Monitor project costs and productivity, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain profitability.Prepare, review, negotiate, and manage change orders, ensuring accurate scope definition, pricing, and timely approval.Coordinate project scheduling, procurement, engineering, material management, and subcontractor performance.Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, owners, general contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.Collaborate closely with Superintendents, General Foremen, and field teams to ensure efficient project execution and workforce productivity.Provide leadership and direction to project engineers, project coordinators, administrative staff, and other project management personnel as required.Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents, providing technical guidance and resolving construction-related issues.Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues impacting cost, schedule, or quality.Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, applicable codes, and quality standards.Champion a culture of safety by ensuring company safety policies are followed, conducting incident investigations when necessary, and implementing corrective actions.Prepare and present project progress reports, financial updates, and forecasts to senior leadership and clients.Perform additional duties as assigned in support of business operations.Additional RequirementsValid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as required.Background check, motor vehicle record (MVR), drug screening, and other pre-employment screenings may be required depending on the position.Employment is contingent upon compliance with all company and client-specific requirements.
