Controls SCADA Developer Engineer
Job SummaryThis position is responsible for tasks relating to the design, development, and implementation of shared services that support other Controls engineering teams. The Controls SCADA Developer collaborates closely with their team leader and peers, ensuring that all products and services meet or exceed customer expectations. This role serves a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, supply chain logistics, and engineering.Job FunctionsDesigns and implements new SCADA modules with minimal supervisionLeverages programming expertise to develop efficiency tools that optimize daily engineering tasks. Skills will be working with SQL and then other platforms (C#, Python, Java)Worked with scripting languages (Python,Javascript etc)Coordinates with engineers across disciplines to facilitate effective system integration and testingProvides cross-functional support to project teams, contributing beyond the scope of Controls when neededWork with Controls Project Manager and Controls SCADA Lead and assist with overall project execution.Conduct full scope of controls project services as outlined in the overview aboveCommunication with managers, team members, suppliers.Development of SCADA projects focus on non-standard SCADA applications like Ignition, custom WMS interfaces, direct connections to external databases and focus on custom scripting applications.On-site installation and testing of completed SCADA projects.Develop processes to help support our team growth.Solve problems for our team and customers.Attend weekly Controls meetings and other scheduled meetings on time.Travel RequirementsOvernight travel required up to 20%Required Skills & QualificationsProficiency in software applications and scriptings languageAdvanced proficiency in database experience (SQL)Strong team collaboration skillsDemonstrated ability to meet urgent deadlines effectivelyHighly motivated and results-drivenExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesMust be able to work long term in the USA without current or future sponsorship.Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.Preferred Skills & QualificationsMaterial handling experienceUnderstanding of PLC programmingProficiency in emulation software/SCADA softwareProficiency in database applicationsCapable of interpreting field device layouts (P&ID, machine schematics, etc.)Attend training and become certified in applications or tools used within the team.
