Research and Development Specialist

We’re a fast-growing food supplement manufacturer building high-quality, science-driven products — and we’re looking for an R&D Specialist who thrives when diving into real hands-on work. This role sits right where formulation meets manufacturing. You’ll be working with powders, testing encapsulation, finalizing formulas, and jumping in to solve real production challenges as they happen. Previous experience is a plus, not a requirement. What matters most is curiosity, ownership, and the ability to communicate and document clearly.What You’ll Be DoingWork hands-on with powder blends and encapsulated formulasRun and support encapsulation trials (flow, fill weight, capsule performance)Help finalize formulations so they work in production — not just on paperTroubleshoot manufacturing issues alongside production and quality teamsSupport scale-up from lab to manufacturing and assist during production runsCreate and maintain clear documentation (formulas, batch records, SOPs)Spot problems early, suggest improvements, and help build better processesWhat We’re Looking ForBackground in food science, chemistry, nutrition, pharma, or a related fieldComfortable working in a manufacturing settingStrong communication skills — you can explain problems and solutions clearlySolid documentation habits and attention to detailProactive, hands-on, and not afraid to take ownershipEager to learn and grow in a fast-moving start-up environmentNice (But Not Required)Experience with powder blending or encapsulationExperience in a GMP-regulated environmentInterest in formulation optimization and process improvementWorking Hours & Benefits:Full-time, on site role.2 weeks of paid vacation per year.7 annual paid holidays.Comprehensive health insurance provided.401(k) plan eligibility.About Pronto Manufacturing & Fulfillment:Pronto Manufacturing & Fulfillment is a leading manufacturer of dietary supplements, specialising in capsule and powder forms.
