*About us* Monkey Bar is Amherst's premier bar and club for 5-college students and transforms, to and from, Bistro 63 - a nice restaurant during the day. Our mission is to provide a fun and safe nightlife experience that is fun for both guests and workers, with a focus on safety and customer service. Friendliness, cleanliness, and safety are our mission. We have a 'don't touch' policy and welcome people of all genders and backgrounds to work in a highly energetic and fun work environment. You will work in a team of 5-6. One/two nights a week between Thu and Sat, 930 pm - 230 am: commitment is required Sep 3 -Dec 19. The pay is with hourly and tips. Hourly (between $17-19) depends on performance, tips depend on how busy each night is. Job responsibilities: - Positive customer service to mostly 5-College students. - Safety: maintaining fire exits, enforcing house rules, and taking care of people. - Setting up and breakdown - moving chairs and tables, speakers, and lights. - Cleaning - sweeping, mopping, and bathroom clean up. -Occassional Coat Check Station shift. Requirements: - Minimum two years of work experience. Emergency services, security, lifeguards, and other safety-centric experiences are valued. - Availability to start September 3 or 10. This is a seasonal job aligning with the academic calendar of Umass Amherst. NOTE: indeed pay range includes hourly wage AND tips: $17-19/hr + Tips. 2-3 Training shifts paid at $15/hr +Tips.
