Job Title: ICU/Critical Care Nurse – 2-Day Paid Contract – Medical Device Booth (San Diego Convention Center)Employment Type: Contract / 1099Compensation: $50–$60/hour (depending on experience), plus parking/mileage reimbursementLocation: San Diego Convention Center (in-person, on-site)Dates: Tuesday, May 19, 2026 (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and Wednesday, May 20, 2026 (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM). Approximately 11 hours across two days. Brief virtual training session prior to the event (1 hour, paid).About the GigStraightforward paid contract work for a critical care nurse. We're an early medical device company exhibiting at a major critical care nursing conference in San Diego May 19-20th. Our product is a single-use bedside line management device used in ICU and acute care settings to improve patient safety, save nursing ICUs significantly on costs, and improve nurse workflows and reduce frustration. Our devices are currently used in hospitals across the U.S. (with more in clinical trials).We're hiring one nurse to staff our booth alongside another employee for two days.The RoleTalk with nurses who stop by the booth, demonstrate the product, share your perspective as a clinical professional, qualify leads, and help collect contact information from interested attendees. We want a clinical voice in the booth — someone who can speak peer-to-peer with ICU and critical care nurses about real bedside line management challenges.What You'll DoEngage attendees and start conversations about IV line management challengesDemonstrate the product (training provided in advance)Collect lead information through guiding attendees to brief surveys and badge scansSpeak from your clinical perspective about common bedside IV/line issuesWho We're Looking ForActive California RN license (required, will verify)Recent bedside experience in any ICU or critical care setting — MICU, SICU, CVICU, CTICU, CCU, CSICU, NSICU, Neuro ICU, NICU, PICU, Trauma ICU/TICU, Burn ICU/BICU, Mixed ICU, Cardiac ICU, ED/ER, PACU, Step-Down, Progressive Care/PCU, Acute Care, or telemetry — all qualifyVery comfortable proactively starting conversations with strangers and talking to people for extended periodsReliable, punctual, professional appearanceStrongly preferred: experience as a clinical educator, charge nurse, nurse manager, clinical research nurse/research coordinator, CNS, NP, or preceptor — any role where you regularly teach, present, or pitch to other nursesBonus: prior experience at conferences, exhibit booths, clinical sales, or medical device evaluationsWhy This GigThis role is a strong fit for clinical nurses who are interested in exploring medical device sales, industry, or career paths beyond the bedside.
