Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric nursing and be committed to providing high-quality care to children in various settings, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and assisted living facilities. This role requires excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and safety. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to strict protocols for medication administration. Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate medical documentation for each patient. Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals in discharge planning and ongoing care strategies. Assist with sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment to ensure a safe environment for procedures. Perform phlebotomy as needed for laboratory testing and monitor patients' vital signs throughout their care. Educate families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge care plans. Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures while upholding the highest standards of patient care. Experience Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with a focus on Pediatrics or relevant nursing experience in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and medical terminology essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Previous experience in assisted living facilities is a plus but not required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues effectively.
