Headstart/Pre-K through 2nd grade teacher

**Job Overview** We are seeking dedicated and passionate Preschool, Kindergarten through 2nd grade Teachers to join our private school team. This role will teach approximately 5 to 7 students in a very small setting. We value ourselves on allowing creativity that promotes cultural awareness and learning. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is culturally aware, committed to excellence, and has a strong passion for teaching true history. **Responsibilities** - Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the Montessori curriculum - Provide individualized attention and support to students, focusing on their unique learning needs - Create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes social skills, emotional intelligence, and cognitive development - Supervise and mentor classroom assistants and volunteers, ensuring consistency in instructional approaches - Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive curriculum and ensure seamless transitions between classrooms - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance - Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child's progress and achievements - Provide regular feedback and assessment reports to parents and guardians - Participate in staff meetings and professional development workshops to stay current on best practices and new technologies - Demonstrate a commitment to working with children with autism and other special needs **Requirements** - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field *Will consider those who are in college actively pursuing their education - Experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting - Knowledge of the free play method and its application in early childhood education - Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation - Proven experience in teaching and mentoring children - Strong classroom management and organization skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues - Proficiency in proofreading and creating clear and concise written reports - Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment - Passion for the field of early childhood education and its impact on child development - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances - Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain) This role is an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives and contribute to the development of the next generation of leaders and thinkers.
