CNC Machine Operator
Machine OperatorA machine operator must be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. You will need to have a willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential this position requires collaboration with co-workers.Essential Job Functions:Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycleMust be familiar with measuring instruments (measuring tape, calipers)Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machinesInspect parts with precision and measuring toolsTest operation of machines periodicallyFix issues that might occur during the shiftCheck output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flawsKeep records of approved and defective units or final productsMaintain activity logsUsing machine equipment to complete tasksPerforming routine inspections of manufacturing equipmentEvaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as neededThis is not a complete list. Requirements; additional duties may be assigned as needed.Requirements:Ability to proactively troubleshoot problemsWork as a team within department and with other departments and LeadsProven experience as a machine operatorWorking knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurementAdherence to health and safety regulationsAbility to read blueprints, schematics and manualsAnalytical skills and attention to detailAbility to work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policiesRequired Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.Work Environment: Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand.
