This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of systems and processes through comprehensive testing strategies, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings a blend of analytical thinking, technical QA expertise, and program-level insight to drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation.Tasks include:Analyze business, system, and GIS-specific requirements to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test casesExecute manual testing across functional, integration, regression, and Government Acceptance Testing (GAT) phasesPerform exploratory testing to identify defects not covered by formal test casesIdentify, document, and manage defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOpsValidate data integrity by comparing expected and actual results, including database queries and geospatial datasetsVerify accuracy of geographic data (coordinates, projections, shapefiles, raster data) using tools such as ArcGIS and QGISTest map-based functionality including rendering, layer management, spatial queries, and geoprocessing toolsValidate coordinate system transformations and projection consistencyConduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent UI/UX behaviorCollaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, troubleshooting issues, and support GAT activitiesRe-test defect fixes and ensure system stability through regression validationMaintain test documentation, test results, and QA artifacts for traceability and audit readinessParticipate in Agile ceremonies and provide updates on testing progress, risks, and quality metricsRequired SkillsMust be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) government security clearanceExceptional verbal and written communication and organizational skillsProficient in MS Office productsLead QA and testing efforts across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelinesDesign, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated)Analyze system requirements and business processes to identify testing needs and potential risksTrack, document, and manage defects through resolution using defect tracking toolsPerform root cause analysis and recommend solutions to improve system quality and performanceCollaborate with developers and program managers to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLCDevelop and maintain QA metrics, dashboards, and reports for leadership visibilityEnsure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and regulatory requirementsPreferred SkillsUnderstanding of Surface Danger Zone (SDZ)Proficient in MS Teams and SharePoint programsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsFamiliarity with scripting or programming languagesExperience with cloud-based platforms and testing environmentsQA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE)Knowledge of Statistics and Probability modelingRequired ExperienceBachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)5-7+ years of experience in QA, testing, or program analysis rolesStrong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing types (functional, regression, performance, etc.), and SDLCExperience with test management and defect tracking toolsProficiency in writing SQL queries and analyzing data for validation purposesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Experience:Military experience in range safety and operations, including enforcement of safety protocols and coordination of training activitiesExperience testing systems that support range safety, training range operations, or mission planning environmentsFamiliarity with range safety procedures, including risk mitigation, hazard identification, and compliance with established safety protocolsExperience validating geospatial or situational awareness tools used in range operations (e.g., mapping restricted zones, impact areas, or safety buffers)Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar)Required Education:* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant QA/testingCALIBRE and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer and supports transitioning service members, veterans and individuals with disabilities.
