Job Description
Salary: $20 - $22 hrJob Summary: The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt and unloading of products from route trucks. This position is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility while adhering to company safety and operating procedures.Key Responsibilities:Receiving:Adhere to Medosweet's standards for receiving procedures through Warehouse Management System.Unload inbound shipments promptly and in accordance with company protocols.Safely handle products, ensuring accurate documentation and proper storage.Truck Load & Unload:Efficiently unload route trucks, sorting and palletizing crates and products with precision.Organize pallets based on supplier and size criteria.Transfer products to designated warehouse storage areas, rotating stock as necessary.Efficiently stage and load daily outbound trucks/trailers as scheduled.Warehouse Duties:Uphold a clean and orderly warehouse environment, disposing of waste responsibly.Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and trucks in a safe and efficient manner.Maintain open communication with colleagues and supervisors regarding any issues or changes.Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, and participate in cycle counts.Assist in the picking of customer orders as required to support overall company operations.Ensure trucks and trailers are cleaned as needed, adhering to regular cleaning schedules.Other Duties:Provide assistance with will call and order selection when required to support overall company operations.Ensure strict compliance with all company procedures and policies at all times.Move trucks and trailers as needed for warehouse loading and unloading operations.CDL is a plus!Mandatory Position Requirements:Successful completion of mandatory drug screening.Compliance with company standards for background checks.Minimum age requirement: 18 years old, with a stable employment history.At least one year of experience in food distribution or a warehouse environment is preferred.Availability to work weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime as needed.Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds.Possession of forklift certification and any applicable state certifications for material handling equipment.Demonstrated manual dexterity for operating equipment safely.Capability to stand or walk for extended periods (8+ hours).High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Basic computer skills preferred; proficiency in communication skills required.Position Minimum Requirements:Proficiency in basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills (English).Commitment to attending required training seminars, programs, and classes for ongoing skill development.Regular attendance at safety meetings.Working Conditions:Exposure to a refrigerated warehouse and freezer environment, with an average temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit.Involves repetitive lifting of materials and products weighing up to 60 pounds.Mandatory use of safety equipment, including work boots and hard hats; no earrings, body piercings, or jewelry permitted.
