Production Technician II

Position OverviewSet up and run a saw, grind, roll threads, chamfer, machine, straighten, and polish using machinery or hand-held power tools on a variety of metal bar stock. Supply heat treat samples for approval to quality department. Inspect parts using various checking tools and instruments.Essential Job FunctionsAbility to read blueprintsVerify quality of finished parts by performing inspections. In accordance with issued work instructions Move controls to stop or start equipmentRemove completed materialMeasure and mark materialTransfer materials or parts to specified work areas using material handling equipmentDeburr materials and parts using files or powered hand-toolsMaintain necessary record keeping related to quality inspections and task completionPerform necessary preventative maintenance and occasional mechanical repair on equipmentAbility to ascertain when tooling is ready to be replacedMaintain clean and organized work areasFollow safety protocolsPerform other tasks as prescribed by team lead
