Electrical Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLEThe Electrical Engineer is responsible of all electrical maintenance activities at the plant. Ensure electrical project work is completed is a safe, efficient and timely manner and in compliance with environmental requirements and to work in a cooperative manner to plan, schedule and execute all control system activities in the plant in order to maximize equipment utilization and reliability.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHResponsible for supervising the electrical and instrumentation technicians in the execution of daily work orders and projects assigned by the maintenance coordinator. The engineer is responsible for assigning the work to their crew, insuring the work is performed both timely and correctly and the work history is recorded in SAP.Electrical preventive and predictive maintenance programs. This includes conducting systematic inspections on all plant electrical equipment, collection of quantitative data, its’ organization and analysis using a variety of traditional as well as technically advanced diagnostic tools. The electrical engineer shall assess the condition of the process and machinery accurately, assess risk and identify the appropriate corrective actions based on technical analysis and risk management.Responsible for the accurate documentation of electrical schematics and stores spare parts inventory.Ensure all system programming meets with proper environmental compliance.Maintain system documentation including but not limited to master equipment files, regulatory compliance files, equipment specifications, and repair historyEvaluate computer control equipment and their components to assure they meet the plant requirements.Define, write and implement changes to existing process control programs.Provide control system training and guidance for plant personnel.Troubleshoot control system hardware and software problems.Participates in defining, developing and executing equipment and process modifications to improve reliability, reduce costs and/or improve safety. Provide electrical knowledge and support for plant maintenance and PLC control projects.Will be on-call on a rotational basis.Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.Other duties as assigned.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOREducation: Bachelor's degreeField of Study Preferred: Electrical EngineeringRequired Technical Skills: SAP, AutoCAD, Project and Microsoft Office.Additional Requirements:Working knowledge of PLC programming and process control systems is preferred (CTI, PLC-5 and SLC 500).Experience in instrumentation, motors, starters and VFD’s, communication.Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
