Role at a glance
The Senior Financial Modeling Analyst reports to the Senior Director, Capital Planning and Analysis. This role gathers, analyzes, and summarizes financial recommendations on new capital investments and sales opportunities.
The position will work closely with the Senior Director, Capital Planning and Analysis and the Sales & Construction department head to develop business case modeling for new locations, analyze profitability, make financial recommendations, and monitor financial performance. The role will also collaborate with the Sales department to understand complex and large opportunities and evaluate how these compare to the original site business case.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Work with other departments to pull together assumptions to build a business case for new sites
Analyze business case inputs for reasonableness and comparison to other investments
Update new site business cases with actuals, revised forecast assumptions and compare against the original business case
Analyze financial results and evaluate asset performance
Understand and calculate financial business plan measurements including IRR, NPV, and terminal value
Forecast debt requirements and submit draw requests
Collaborate with Sales to understand large deal commercial terms and prepare profitability analysis for board approval
Update business cases with large deal opportunities to evaluate sales impact on project profitability
Provide support to third party investors through profitability analysis and data support
Prepare cost comparison analyses as requested
Prepare PowerPoint presentations for Executive audiences communicating financial metrics
Support other projects to assist Finance department
Prepare monthly actual vs. budget (vs. forecast) reports and provide variance analyses for assigned departments
Monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics
Perform other duties and ad hoc analytics as assigned
Calculate and track global cost allocations to different regions
Knowledge, Attributes & Skills
Extensive knowledge of IFRS; ability to work across different cultures and systems
Strong communication of complex financial/accounting terminology and capture key requirements from financial and non-financial personnel
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Extensive financial modeling and report development experience
Experience in championing analytics assignments and capturing key takeaways with minimal supervision
Experience in managing budget-related requirements within a formal planning platform (Hyperion, SAP, etc.); Hyperion/Smartview experience preferred
Experience in leveraging reporting output tools such as Power BI
Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, and other advanced functions)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; able to work in a team environment
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Academic Qualifications & Certifications
BS/BA degree in accounting or finance; MBA preferred
CFA preferred
Required Experience
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant high-level Financial Planning and Analysis experience
Experience with investors preferred
Experience with construction projects preferred
This position is remote for the foreseeable future with occasional onsite needs; must be able to accommodate calls in global time zones
Travel up to 10% may be required
Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license
Compensation & Benefits
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $107,400.00 - $140,100.00. All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
