System Admin/ Sim Tech

The System Admin/ Sim Technician is responsible for all periodic and unscheduled maintenance for the MH-139 simulator. Candidates for this position should have comprehensive knowledge and experience to solve complex or system problems: those typically solved solely by reference to maintenance manuals or similar documents.Key Responsibilities:Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems, those typically solved by properly interpreting maintenance manuals or similar documents.Capable of interpreting and working with computer systems utilizing various and multiple operating systems.Monitors and tracks the repair status of inoperative equipment and documents maintenance activities utilizing the logistics management data base system. Documenting maintenance activities includes but is not limited to: work order generation and updates, repair action documentation, issuing, returning, and adjusting inventory, insuring inventory records are up to date and accurate, and other material control duties as assigned.Diagnoses malfunctions of computers and associated equipment and performs operability/readiness tests and repair.Provides networking and information systems support on training devices and networks.Implements basic modifications to existing simulators.QualificationsRequired Qualifications/Experience:1-5 years experience working as a simulator technician or a combination of IT, Cyber, or Networking experienceKnowledge of windows and Linux, can use simple editors, and can navigate directory structures and files etc.Security Plus certificate or ability to obtainSecurity ResponsibilitiesEligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
