Job Description
Essential Functions: Diagnose, adjust, and overhaul diesel engines on all vessels and equipment operated by FICA. Maintain preventive maintenance protocol to ensure optimum fleet operation.Responsibilities:Performs preventive and routine maintenance on all vessels, trolleys, ramps, and any other marine-related equipment.Respond to equipment casualties and determine a strategy for repairFollow established preventive maintenance schedules and proceduresPerform in-house repairs on main engines, generators, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems.Report repairs needed or unusual findings to the immediate supervisorPresent professional attire at all timesMaintain proper documentation of all maintenance, repairs, and observationsFollows preventive procedures as ordered by the Manager of Marine MaintenanceComplain with all Fisher Island standards, policies, and procedures.Perform all necessary repairs.Communicate (read, write, speak) professionallyPerform other duties as assigned by managementMaintain working areas clean.Education/ Skills/ Work Experience Required High School Diploma(2) years of experience with Marine diesel engines, Hydraulic systems.Must be able to read and interpret certain engine technical manuals.Excellent communication skills (speak, read, write English)Ability to multitask and work a flexible scheduleValid Driver's LicenseIndoor/Outdoor environment: WORKING CONDITIONS This description is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts, or working conditions associated with the job.
