Director, Business Development Real World Data/Evidence (RWD/E)

Position SummaryAbout Specialty Networks SolutionsSpecialty physician practices are challenged to provide high quality care at lower costs. Specialty Networks Solutions help practices navigate these challenges by delivering insights and personalized support while allowing them to remain independent and prioritize time with patients. Our solutions include provider solutions, real world data and evidence research, and commercial technology platforms and data registries.The Director, Business Development - Life Sciences is hunter type sales role with a focus on immunology (rheumatology) data, analytics, and consulting solutions sales, including commercial analytics, brand teams, marketing, and the medical side of the organization (HEOR, epidemiology, R&D, RWD/E). You will call on specialty manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and biotech space. The candidate should be consultative, knowledgeable of navigating large, complex organizations and entrepreneurial inside a small but growing business within a larger organization.This role reports to the Sr. Director, Business Development for the Specialty Networks business.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development for Life SciencesProspect new business and cross-sell and up-sell to current customers in close collaboration with SN Industry Services function using consultative selling/solutioning approach across multiple specialtiesArchitect solutions and develop proposals to meet prospect/customer's objectivesManage customer retention and subscription renewalsManage critical aspects of industry portfolio revenue forecasting and managementManage and expand (as needed) RWD/E teamWork closely with VP of RWD/E VP of clinical & Business Intelligence, VP of Clinical Research, VP of Population Health Management to ensure leadership and strategy alignmentRWD/E (Real-World Data/Evidence) SolutionsExpand Specialty Networks (SN) real-world data commercialization strategyGrow Life Sciences opportunities and collaborate in the secondary/channel partner spacePrimary Markets: Industry (pharmaceutical, device, diagnostic, and biotechnology companies), Payors, etc.Secondary Markets: Big Consulting Companies, Financial Sector (Private Equity & Funds), and Channel Partners (EMR and Claims Providers)Industry Account ManagementEnsure on-time, under budget and high-quality delivery of all RWD/E projects and subscriptionsManage growing industry customer base, including CRM content managementManage customer relations and communicationEnsure customer and user satisfaction and engagementDevelop and manage referralsManage customer issue/request resolutionConduct regular business reviews (monthly, quarterly and/or annually) as appropriateEstablish PPS Analytics thought leadership via internal and external publications (papers, blogs, social media posts, etc.), speaking engagements, association membership(s), conference attendance, networking, advisory boards, etc.QualificationsMBA or advanced Clinical / Research degree preferred7 - 10 years of experience in the RWD/E and/or Life Sciences industry preferredLeadership and clear ownership of key account development and growthAbility to manage and exceed business forecastCross functional selling, solution oriented and an analytical personLife sciences experience in data, analytics, consulting services (data, tools, analytics, tech solutions, licensing, contract negotiations, etc.)Entrepreneurial, curious learned and doerTravel up to 35 - 40% (Includes client facing meetings, conferences, and internal corporate meetingsAnticipated salary range $238,200 - $312,455 (includes targeted variable pay)Bonus eligible YesBenefits Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close 2/10/2026 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The salary range listed is an estimate.
