Engage cross-functionally and throughout all levels. Work together to win.ResponsibilitiesThe Plastic Weld position is part of the Production Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and repairing plastic components using various techniques and tools. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products while adhering to safety standards. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following): Perform plastic welding using techniques such as hot air welding, extrusion welding, and laser welding. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding methods. Inspect welded seams and products for quality and compliance with specifications. Maintain and calibrate welding equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Train and mentor junior welders as needed.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in welding or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a plastic welder or similar role. Strong understanding of plastic materials and welding techniques. Proficient in using welding equipment and tools. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills.Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
