Proposal Systems Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTIONInsight Global is seeking a Systems Engineer to work onsite in Long Beach, CA. This engineer will play a key role in developing technical proposals and estimates for post-production modifications across commercial aircraft programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing customer requirements, defining modification scope, developing Statements of Work (SOWs), estimating engineering effort, and identifying technical risks. This position supports a high volume of customer-driven modification requests and requires an engineer who can understand aircraft designs, assess impacts across multiple systems, and help build accurate proposals that support commercial airline customers worldwide. This role supports modifications involving structures, payloads, interiors, electrical systems, and other aircraft design changes.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field- 8-12 years of engineering experience - Ability to work onsite in Long Beach, CA five days per weekNICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- Experience developing Statements of Work (SOWs) and proposal estimates- Boeing 7 Series experience - Experience with structures, payloads, interiors, or electrical systems- Experience using tools such as CATIA, NOVIA, and FASTR
