Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingBonus based on performanceCompetitive salaryDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offParental leaveTraining & developmentVision insuranceWellness resourcesRole Objectives: Responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships through proactive communication, exceptional service, and a deep understanding of client needsKey Responsibilities:Collaborate with the VP of Sales and internal teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with company goals.Assist in developing and executing sales strategies to meet revenue targets.Identify and engage with new prospects to grow the customer base.Maintain and build strong relationships with vessel owners, operators, charterers, and ship managers.Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the maritime transportation industry.Gather and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights to inform sales efforts.Support the VP of Sales by providing reports and updates on business opportunities.Collaborate with operations teams at various ports to identify revenue growth opportunities.Represent the company at trade shows, industry meetings, and networking events.Participate in internal sales meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities.Assist in preparing sales proposals and collecting relevant business development data.Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets.Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using CRM tools.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements:Self-driven with strong initiative and a team-oriented mindset.Proven ability to work independently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong emotional intelligence and business acumen.Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and develop business opportunities.Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.Knowledge of sales, relationship management, and customer service principles.Deep understanding of the commercial relationship with operationsComfortable with cold calling and initiating contact with potential clients.Familiarity with maritime industry operations, and liquid products preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally. Must possess a valid passport and be eligible for international travel.Education/Experience:Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. requiredEquivalent years of work experience may be substituted for degree requirementAt least 5 years of prior experience in the maritime industry requiredPhysical Requirements:Required to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps; reach; stand; walk; talk; and hearMust exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objectsClose visual acuity is required to perform activities such as analyzing figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection, and using measurement devicesWorker is subject to environmental conditions both inside and outside, with no effective protection from weather, with sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard, and to physical hazards, such as moving parts, vehicles, electricity, heights, and large bodies of deep water.
