Housekeeping (Full or Part Time)
Housekeeping Positions Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa offers a luxury mountain experience through exceptional lodging & dining, an 18-hole championship golf course, equestrian stables, a full-service spa, and activities for all ages. Brasstown is a place where families and groups of any size can make mountain memories year after year. We are currently hiring for housekeeping positions (full-time or part-time schedules available). Must be willing and available to work weekends and holidays. Under the direct supervision of the housekeeping manager, this position ensures clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of Brasstown Valley Resort. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential functions include sorting, folding, and carrying linens; changing linens and making beds properly and according to standards; restocking carts and emptying vacuum cleaners; following accounting and re-stocking procedures for in-room amenities; replenishing room supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies; cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies; dusting furniture; washing walls, ceilings, and woodwork; washing windows, door panels, and sills; emptying wastebaskets; replenishing bathroom supplies; replacing light bulbs; transporting trash and waste to disposal area; following all lost & found procedures with guest items left behind; cleaning bathrooms, including the shower curtain, walls, mirrors, tub, toilet, and floor; cleaning under and behind beds; cleaning closet areas; replacing iron and ironing board; cleaning items as needed; and making a final check to ensure all items are in the room. To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: monitoring own work to ensure quality; ability to work quickly; ability to adapt to frequent change, delays, or unexpected events; consistently at work when scheduled and on time; and observing safety procedures. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Related experience a plus! While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
