Adjunct Faculty – Master’s in Cybersecurity (Graduate Program)On-Campus | Miami, FLAbout MIU City University MiamiMIU City University Miami, part of PROEDUCA Group, is a leading institution in higher education with more than 108,000 students across 90+ countries, over 3,000 faculty members, and over 15 years of experience in innovative education.Position OverviewMIU City University Miami is seeking highly qualified Adjunct Faculty members to teach graduate-level courses in the Master’s in Cybersecurity program at our Downtown Miami campus.We are looking for passionate educators and industry professionals with strong academic credentials and expertise in one or more cybersecurity-related disciplines. This position is ideal for candidates with teaching experience in higher education and hands-on professional experience in cybersecurity.Faculty may teach one or more courses in the following subject areas:Areas of ExpertiseCybercrime and Cybersecurity RegulationsCybersecurity Governance and Risk AnalysisComputer Forensics and Incident ResponseSystems, Applications, and Big Data SecurityNetwork Security and Intelligent Threat AnalysisSecure Software Development and AuditingKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality graduate-level instruction aligned with the university curriculum and academic standards.Teach assigned courses in an on-campus and hybrid learning environment.Facilitate student engagement, assignments, grading, and course management through Canvas LMS.Assess and evaluate student learning outcomes and academic performance.Review and update course syllabi and instructional materials as needed.Submit grading reports and required academic documentation in a timely manner.Provide mentorship, academic guidance, and support to graduate students.Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and university academic activities.Serve as a jury member for Capstone dissertations at the end of the semester, when applicable.Maintain academic excellence, professional integrity, and adherence to MIU’s hybrid educational model.Minimum QualificationsDoctoral or terminal degree (Ph.D., D.Sc., or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.Proven experience teaching in higher education, preferably at the graduate level.Experience using Canvas LMS or similar learning management systems.Ability to teach on campus in Miami, Florida.Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).Valid U.S. work authorization.Preferred QualificationsIndustry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, Cisco Cybersecurity Professional (CCP), Cisco Certified Specialist – Cybersecurity Forensic Analysis and Incident Response, or equivalent.Professional experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, risk management, incident response, network security, or secure software development.Experience in curriculum development and instructional design for higher education courses.Why Join MIU City University Miami?Dynamic and collaborative academic environmentFlexible teaching scheduleOpportunity to contribute to an expanding graduate cybersecurity programAcademic freedom and institutional support for faculty developmentMIU City University Miami is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment.
