These services focus on facilitating voting for those confined due to illness or disability. This cross-functional position will also support divisional operations within early voting (Signature Verification, Curing, etc.). Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZWe RequireThis position requires a High School Diploma or GED.Other Requirements Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire Must complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Officer Certification Must be eligible to vote in Arizona and pass an applicable background screening Job ContributionsThe teams are paired into bipartisan boards to travel throughout Maricopa CountyResponsible for providing services and assistance to voters who are ill, disabled, or confined to their personal residence or assisted living facility.Perform outreach to facilities such as nursing homes and assisted living facilitiesAssists other divisions of the Recorder’s Office with election duties as neededWorking ConditionsThis position requires extensive overtime during periods of heavy workloads.Ability to sit or stand for extended periodsAbility to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist a minimum of 25 pounds and carry for 100 feetAbility to push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds for 200 feetSome positions may require the use of a County or personal vehicle, which would require a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, a reliable vehicle, and attendance in Maricopa County's Defensive Driving CourseMileage reimbursement is available for personal vehicles used during a shift.Selection ProcedureConsideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applicationsCandidates will be contacted primarily through email and their Workday online application profileMust pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitiveMaricopa County is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants.
