Title: Production ManagerLocation: Green RiverNote: This position will be assigned to the Sesqui plant, but business needs may determine future assignment. Key Responsibilities Oversee safe, reliable and cost-effective production to meet or exceed business needs and objectives. Execute operating plans and management of results against plans. Leads and implements plant Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs and standards including crew safety action plans. Provides leadership, direction and growth / development for Production Supervisors. Demonstrates strong communication and partnership with other plant and maintenance personnel to support safe, reliable operations for the plant. Applies and ensures utilization of continuous improvement tools to drive improvements to safety, cost, capacity utilization, reliability and productivity. Drives cultural change and a continuous improvement mindset Coordinates with the Maintenance and Financial teams to manage the assets, both short and long term, for the plant facilities. Maintains compliance with all applicable laws and corporate requirements. Operational knowledge of cGMP/Q7A and Food Standards for Sesqui Unit.Activities Provides leadership and implementation of EHS and manufacturing standards and best practices and drive consistency across plant operations. Execution of plant operations to meet the S&OP targets for the business including EHS, production, cost, quality, and reliability. Accountable to manage and reconcile financial and business budgets and forecasts for production. Partners with Production, Maintenance, and Financial leaders to ensure the integration and balance of production requirements across Westvaco surface operations to optimize safety, cost and reliability / volume. Development and growth of front line leader talent including coaching and mentorship. Reviews and drives performance objectives and KPI’s within the plant area and KPI’s are reported daily, weekly, and monthly while addressing any low performing indicators with appropriate actions / plans. Executes the work priorities needed to maintain the plant assets including the prioritization of capital and engineering projects Develop appropriate responses to performance trends. Ensures Metrics for Sesqui Encompass both Productivity/Cost and Compliance. Ensures Alignment for Sesqui Between Quality and Production Participates in Close-out Meetings for Customer and Regulatory Audits Partners with Human Resources in labor relations, employee relations, and contract administration Supports ISO 9000 efforts within the plant Serves as a backup for the Unit Manager to represent Sesqui for customer certification, and regulator audits/inspections Enforces approved SOPs and regulatory requirements.Skill, Capability And Educational Requirements B.S. in Engineering/Chemistry OR High School diploma or equivalent and 10 years chemical plant operational experience Demonstrated line supervisory skills including one year line, industrial supervisory experience minimum Additional (1-3 years) supervisory experience preferred Chemical plant experience required Working knowledge of cGMP’s/ICHQ7A and Food Requirements strongly preferred.Final determination on pay grade will be made holistically consistent with the skills matrix and considering the candidates education, experience, past performance, demonstrated leadership and influence.WE Soda is an equal opportunity employer.
