Undergrad Research Assistant - Dr. Liang

Salary/Position Classification $15.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime) 4-10 hours hours per week 100% Remote Work Availability: No Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No Purpose of Position This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. This position aims to support the development and validation of advanced optical imaging systems, contributing to cutting-edge research in imaging technologies. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary research environment, fostering technical and analytical skills crucial for future academic and professional pursuits. Duties & Responsibilities Collaborate with Dr. Bo Liang's research team, contributing to specific tasks aligned with the overall project objectives Assist in the design and construction of a microscope system, working with team members to ensure functionality and accuracy. Perform data analysis using appropriate software tools to accurately interpret imaging data. Conduct validation experiments to assess the optical imaging system's performance, and document findings to support project development Minimum Requirements Willing to learn new experimental methods Responsible for tasks Strong organization skills and ability to pay attention to details. Capable of communicating with other lab members Entry-level position for undergraduate student's background in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Biology Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
