Accounting/Treasury Analyst
Summary
The Accounting / Treasury Analyst is responsible for the complete and timely processing of journal entries, analysis of general ledger account activities and other monthly closing activities. This position also entails research in response to inquiries, analyzing financial information as part of the financial reporting process, and performing other general accounting and analytical duties as requested. This position is also responsible for various banking and treasury related activities as assigned.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Processing of monthly journal entries, including the following: Standard, recurring journal entries, allocations and specific entries as part of unique transactions.
Regular review of key general ledger accounts including preparation of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations.
Generation and distribution of certain reports to other departments to assist in independent account analysis and verification.
Code invoices for A/P Processing
Review of bank statements / activity
Initiating funds transfers
Confirming Positive Pay exceptions
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
Strong Computer Skills – Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to work with multiple demands, priorities and directions
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
Education & Experience Requirements
This position requires a four-year degree in Accounting plus a minimum of 2 years accounting experience.
Required Activities
Sitting frequently up to 70% of work time. Standing and walking up to 30% of work time.
