Job Title: Entry-Level Prototype Build/Weld TechnicianJob SummaryWe are seeking an Entry-Level Prototype Build/Weld Technician to support the assembly and welding of metal prototype parts. This position is ideal for someone looking to start a career in metal fabrication and welding. You will work with experienced technicians and engineers to build prototype and low-volume parts while learning shop skills, safety practices, and welding techniques.What You'll DoAssist with building and assembling metal prototype partsPerform basic MIG and/or TIG welding (training provided)Prepare parts for welding by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and deburringSet up parts using clamps and fixtures to hold them in placeRead basic drawings or follow build instructionsCheck parts visually and with basic measuring toolsGrind and finish welded parts as neededKeep your work area clean and safeFollow all safety rules and wear required protective equipmentWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GEDInterest in welding, fabrication, or hands-on manufacturing workAbility to use basic hand and power tools (or willingness to learn)Ability to read a tape measure and perform simple mathWillingness to learn, take direction, and ask questionsReliable attendance and positive attitudeNice to Have (Not Required)Welding classes or trade school experienceAny shop, mechanical, or hands-on work experienceBasic blueprint or drawing familiarityWork EnvironmentPrototype fabrication shopExposure to welding sparks, noise, and metal materialsGrowth & Training
