MRI Radiology Assistant
Schedule: Monday to Friday 10-7pm, every other Saturday 7-2pm.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet, room, and escort orthopedic patients before and after imaging examsPrepare patients for imaging procedures (gowning, positioning assistance, removing braces/splints as directed)Assist MRI technologists with patient positioning, transfers, and mobility supportClean and reset imaging rooms between patients following infection control standardsStock imaging rooms with linens, positioning aids, lead shields, and orthopedic suppliesAssist with basic cast room support (transport, setup, cleanup) when applicableVerify patient information, orders, and documentation in EMR/RISCoordinate imaging flow with clinical staff, providers, and front deskAnswer phones and assist with scheduling or patient questions as assignedMaintain HIPAA compliance and follow OSHA, radiation safety, and clinic policiesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrior experience in an orthopedic, radiology, or outpatient clinical setting preferredKnowledge of orthopedic terminology and anatomy a plusCPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtainAbility to safely assist patients with limited mobilitySkills & CompetenciesExcellent patient service and communication skillsComfortable working with patients experiencing pain or limited mobilityStrong attention to detail and organizationAbility to multitask in a fast-paced outpatient environmentTeam-oriented, dependable, and professionalPhysical & Work RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs with assistance)Direct patient contact in a clinical environmentUse of PPE and adherence to radiation safety guidelines
