(KMI) is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Construction Estimator for an in?office role supporting commercial projects throughout southwest Michigan. Backed by over 40 years in business, KMI delivers mechanical systems for projects ranging from small commercial upgrades to large?scale installations exceeding $6 million. Job Duties Create estimates for plan and spec and design build projectsLeverage apps like Sage Construction Management, Procore, and QuickPen to communicate with venders, perform onscreen take-off, obtain pricing for projects, and write purchase ordersAssist the sales team in preparing estimates for leads brought in through various departmentsProfessionally organize and present detailed information to team members during the turnover process to the construction teamNegotiate mechanical construction and installation contracts in the commercial marketRequirements and Qualifications Five years experience with commercial construction estimatingGeneral HVAC industry experience (e.g. sales, manufacturing, engineering, or installation)Experience working with engineers and construction managers in the local areaProclivity for accuracy and attention to detailExemplary organization skillsProfessional communication skillsHelpful Skills and Experience Experience and proficiency in estimating the following systems and components: Sheetmetal duct systems;Hydronic, refrigerant, gas pipe, and related valves, and fittings;HVAC equipment such as RTUs, AHUs, condensing units, VAV boxes, cabinet heaters, and unit ventilators;Furnaces, air conditioners, mini splits;Boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, water heatersPlumbing estimationLoad calculatingDuct and pipe sizingDraftingMechanical contractor's licenseExperience with related industry software such as Autocad or RevitKnowledge and experience in regional marketplaceBenefits: Competitive salary: $80,000$120,000Company vehicle401(k) and retirement plan 3% employer contribution (regardless of employee contribution)+ Generous profit sharingHealth insurance 100% paid for employeeHealth savings account (HSA) optionFlexible spending account (FSA) optionPaid time off (PTO)Employee referral programJob Type: Full-time Kalamazoo Mechanical, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.Compensation details: 80000-120000 Yearly SalaryPI67526af9d4bf-26289-40323128
